The restrictions might seem harsh at first, but they exist for good reasons. Cloud systems need to be stateless, scalable, and upgradable. Features like Dynpros and BDC recordings are tied to SAP GUI, which does not exist in the cloud. Function Modules are being replaced by classes for better encapsulation. Direct database access is restricted to ensure that SAP can upgrade the underlying database without breaking your code.

Step 4: Create a Service Binding
In Eclipse ADT, create a Service Binding of type OData V4. This automatically exposes your CDS entity as a fully functional OData API. You can then build a Fiori Elements UI on top of it or consume the API from any external application.
Setting Up Your Development Environment
What You Need:

Common Mistakes to Avoid
1. Trying to Write Classic ABAP in Cloud

2. Ignoring the Released API Whitelist
In the cloud ABAP environment, you can only use APIs that SAP has explicitly released for cloud use. If you try to use an unreleased API, the code will not compile. Always check the API status in Eclipse before using it.
3. Not Learning Eclipse ADT
